Whenever I discover a brand, I’m always interested in who is behind the company.
So, here’s a little about me. I was born in Victoria, British Columbia and grew up near Seattle, WA. (Yes, that is how I got my name. My Mom used to say that I should be grateful I wasn’t born in Walla Walla.)
I LOVE being a wife and mother but always dreamed of starting my own company. So, after our children were grown, I dove in!
In 2015, Crown Linen Designs began selling beautiful embroidered linen napkins, and towels from Ukraine. Stores across the country loved them!
But I needed help keeping up. Before I knew it, we were in 1,000+ stores.
My incredible friends came to the rescue! Like me, they wanted a new challenge, and we spent the next few years together shipping orders out of my home. It was chaos but so much fun.

In 2020, I was presented with the opportunity to purchase Arte Italica.
It was another dream come true. I had collected Arte for over 20 years and often paired my linens with their exquisite pieces in photos. Arte’s founder Ann Skidmore had passed away (far too young) and the company needed a leader who truly loved the brand. I certainly checked that box.
I worried whether I’d be up to the task. Soon I learned that the team at Arte was just like my friends at Crown Linen. They loved what they did, and they loved each other.
I truly believe these two brands were destined to be together because we share the same belief that relationships matter more than anything else.
We work so hard to take care of our customers, our suppliers (especially in Ukraine these days) and each other.
Working alongside people you love and admire is one of life’s greatest blessings. I feel so lucky every day.
